Crystal Cathcart
As a Regional Relationship Director for MarketStance, Crystal Cathcart works with senior level management at regional insurance carriers, brokers and agencies providing market intelligence solutions to assist them in meeting company goals for strategically targeted growth in key markets. Crystal’s background includes over 5 years working on the agency side of the insurance industry in both P&C and Financial Services. Managing two agencies taught her the skills of risk analysis, delivering on production requirements and being a solutions provider for her clients. In addition, Crystal’s professional hobbies include spending time with the Young Professionals of Eastern Connecticut as past chair of the organization, which is run through the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. She is actively involved in the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals as a member of the Board of Directors and is a member of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals PULSE group. Crystal is very enthusiastic about giving young professionals the resources they need to excel in their careers and become the leaders of tomorrow within their communities.
Shannon Rabbett, Past President
Shannon Rabbett began her insurance career 10 years ago when she moved back to Connecticut to join her family’s business, Rabbett Insurance Agency, located in Windsor. Founded in 1986, the Agency is a full-service shop, specializing in Personal, Commercial, Life and Health insurance products. An avid believer in supporting her industry, Rabbett became an active member of the CTYIPs in 2005. Within the organization she has held several positions including Board Member, Education Chair, Vice President and President. Currently, Rabbett is the Immediate Past President and a member of the Board of Directors. In 2013, Rabbett became a member of PIACT’s Board of Directors, and continues to serve on the Board, as well as co-chair the Conference Committee. Shannon resides in Windsor with her husband, Hyatt, and their two children, Raiden (6) and Elodi (5).
Assaf Z. Ben-Atar
Assaf Z. Ben-Atar is an associate in the Litigation Dept. at Pullman & Comley. He practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including business disputes, insurance coverage, real estate and land use litigation, municipal law, community associations, white collar criminal defense and health care.
